OLD TV NEWSCAST TITLES, PART ONE (ALASKA-LOUISIANA)
OLD TV NEWSCAST TITLES

This is a list of what TV stations USED to call their local news programs. Also included are call letter changes, original (NTSC) analog channel assignments, previous network affiliation, ownership changes, etc.

A number of newscasts are no longer in production, and are simply listed as 'DEFUNCT'. 'DARK' indicates a station that was known to produce local news programs is no longer in operation, though in some cases the license and/or frequency was later taken up by other broadcasters.

The oldest known newscast branding is listed first, with changing titles listed after.
Known dates are provided.

Links to current newscast branding can of course be found on the main page.

Also of note, stations are listed by their 'heritage' analog channel number, rather than their actual digital RF channel (unless indicated otherwise).

Special thanks to a number of individuals who have helped to provide many of the titles, broadcast times, affiliation switches, etc.

Last update: 11/16/24. Past branding of KTVF/Fairbanks, AK added.
